Stephen is a member of Global Law at Reading (GLAR) with a research interest in international legal thought. Generally, Stephen’s research concerns universal characterisations of law, and the role such characterisations play in the practice of international law. More specifically, Stephen is interested in how these characterisations aid international lawyers’ approaches to understanding their professional roles, and allows them to reflect upon their relevance to political and moral life. Stephen is a Singaporean who first joined Reading in 2008 for the LLM in International Law and World Order programme. Prior to coming to Reading, Stephen completed his LLB at the University of Melbourne.
